Dimitar Karageorgiev, KRG Law
Dimitar Karageorgiev is an Attorney at Law and Master Mariner, practising primarily in litigation and maritime matters. He acts for shipowners, charterers, shippers, P&I Clubs and solicitors in ship arrest, maritime claims and shipping disputes.
He holds an MSc in Navigation from Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, a law degree from VF University “Ch. Hrabar”, and a Certificate in Maritime Law from Tulane Law School. He serves as a member of the Control Board of the Bulgarian Chamber of Shipping and is an Adjunct Lecturer in Admiralty and Maritime Law at Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy.
Prior to qualifying as a lawyer, he served at sea on some of the world’s largest cruise vessels, gaining extensive ship operation and commercial experience. This background translates into a legal practice that is invaluably practical and pragmatic, even where highly technical issues are involved.
